What Testosterone Enanthate is
Testosterone Enanthate is a long-acting injectable ester of testosterone, the body's primary male androgen. The enanthate ester is a seven-carbon fatty acid that is enzymatically cleaved after intramuscular injection, slowly releasing free testosterone into circulation. It is one of the two most prescribed long-ester testosterone preparations worldwide, alongside testosterone cypionate, and the standard reference compound for hormone replacement therapy and bodybuilding cycles.
Pharmacology and kinetics
Following intramuscular injection of Testo E300, serum testosterone peaks at roughly 24–48 hours and then declines along an effective half-life of approximately seven days. Twice-weekly administration produces the most stable serum profile and minimises the trough-to-peak fluctuation that drives mood swings, libido dips and water retention. The 300 mg/ml strength halves the typical injection volume compared to standard 200 mg/ml products.
Where it fits in a cycle
Testosterone enanthate is the cornerstone testosterone base for almost every anabolic cycle. Beginners typically run 250–500 mg per week as a stand-alone, while intermediate stacks pair it with nandrolone, boldenone, masteron, primobolan or trenbolone. It is also the gold-standard hormone replacement (TRT) compound at 100–200 mg per week.
What to expect
Increased lean mass, recovery, libido, training drive and red blood cell production. Aromatisation to estradiol may cause water retention, mild gynecomastia risk and elevated blood pressure if estrogen is left uncontrolled — anastrozole at 1 mg once or twice per week is commonly used on cycle. Endogenous testosterone production is fully suppressed within weeks, so a SERM-based PCT (clomiphene + tamoxifen) is required when discontinuing.
