1. What cookies are

Cookies are small text files placed on your device by your browser when you visit a website. They are widely used to make websites work, work more efficiently, and provide information to the site operator. Similar technologies — local storage, pixels, web beacons — are used for the same purposes; in this policy "cookies" refers to all of them.

2. How we categorise the cookies we use

We group cookies into three categories that match the toggles in the consent banner shown on your first visit:

  • Strictly necessary — required for the service to function. Always on. You can block them in your browser, but parts of the site will stop working.
  • Analytics — anonymous traffic measurement so we know which pages help and which need work. Off by default. You can turn these on or off at any time.
  • Marketing — measure ad performance and personalise messaging on partner platforms. Off by default. You can turn these on or off at any time.

3. The specific cookies we set

The exact cookies set depend on the choices you make in the consent banner.

3.1 Strictly necessary

  • laravel_session — keeps you logged in and preserves form state across pages. Session-only.
  • XSRF-TOKEN — anti–cross-site-request-forgery token used to verify form submissions. Session-only.
  • bbp_cart — links anonymous browsers to a cart so you don't lose products on refresh. Up to 30 days.
  • bbp_consent_v1 — remembers the choice you made in the cookie banner. 365 days. Set in your browser's local storage rather than as a traditional cookie.

3.2 Analytics (only set if you opt in)

  • _ga — Google Analytics. Distinguishes unique visitors anonymously. 24 months.
  • _ga_<property> — Google Analytics. Persists session state for a specific GA4 property. 24 months.

3.3 Marketing (only set if you opt in)

We currently do not run advertising or retargeting cookies. If we add them in the future this section will be updated and the cookies will only set after you opt in via the banner.

4. Third-party cookies

Some cookies are set by third-party services we use. We only enable these once you opt in via the banner.

  • Google Analytics — anonymous traffic measurement.
  • Google reCAPTCHA (where present) — bot protection on the contact and registration forms. Loaded only when those forms are rendered. Subject to Google's privacy policy.

5. How to manage your cookies

You can manage your choice in three ways:

  1. Use the consent banner on your first visit.
  2. Click the link in the site footer at any time. Your previous choice is pre-filled and you can change it.
  3. Configure your browser to refuse cookies entirely. Instructions are in your browser's help pages: Chrome, Firefox, Safari, Edge.

Refusing all non-essential cookies will not prevent you from browsing the catalogue or placing an order — only the analytics and marketing functions will be disabled.

6. Google Consent Mode v2

Our site is built around Google Consent Mode v2. The four standard signals (ad_storage, ad_user_data, ad_personalization, analytics_storage) default to denied on every page-view and are only set to granted after you opt in. Functionality and security signals are always granted, because they are required for the service to operate.

7. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top reflects the most recent revision. If we add a new cookie category or third-party service, the banner will reappear so you can re-consent.
