What Methenolone Enanthate is
Methenolone Enanthate, almost universally called "Primo," is a DHT-derived injectable anabolic-androgenic steroid attached to a seven-carbon enanthate ester. It is one of the mildest injectable anabolics on the market, prized for the favourable side-effect profile it offers in exchange for its modest absolute potency.
Pharmacology and kinetics
Effective half-life is approximately ten days. Once-weekly or twice-weekly dosing produces a steady serum profile. Methenolone does not aromatise to estradiol, so on-cycle estrogen control is rarely needed when running Primo alongside a moderate testosterone dose. The enanthate ester gives the compound a slow build — visible effects typically take 3–4 weeks to develop fully.
Where it fits in a cycle
Primobolan is a slow lean-tissue compound for long, conservative cycles. Typical bodybuilding doses are 400–700 mg per week — Primo is famously underdosed in popular protocols, and below 400 mg per week most male users see little effect. It pairs naturally with testosterone enanthate or cypionate at TRT-to-replacement doses, and with masteron in contest-prep stacks. It is also one of the few compounds occasionally used by female athletes at much lower doses.
What to expect
Slow, gradual gains in lean tissue with minimal water retention or estrogenic side effects; a subtle improvement in muscle hardness and definition; HPTA suppression that is real but generally easier to recover from than long cycles of stronger compounds. A SERM-based PCT remains required.
